So it's 4th of July. Doesn't mean a whole lot to me. Yeah, a few friends made jokes: Haha, we kicked your ass in the war! Yeah, well it wasn't really a "we," since you weren't actually involved. I'm sure you couldn't name a family member who was either. Fact is America had the major advantage, and I really don't care. Celebrate your independence. The ideals this country was founded on were brilliant. The freedoms and liberties that this country grants are amazing. It's also a country filled with greed, hate, poverty, murder, gluttony. Say what you will. It isn't America, it's people. There is no "America." America isn't an entity, it's a group. It's Americans (By Americans I mean Native Americans or "Indians,") English, Spanish, German, Mexican, Swedish, Danish, French, Australian. It goes on and on. I don't really know where I'm going with this.

Well tonight was fun. We went down to Sugden park to see this band that Chase said was good. Unfortunatly they got cut due to a 2 hour delay. Whatever. We walked to Perkins to find it was closed to a private party. We decided to walk back to our cars rather than take the Bus. I suppose I feel lonely, even surrounded by all my friends. I don't really know what to think. I have amazing friends, a good job, I'm in school for what I love. What more could I ask for? Blahbitty blah. My Dad and all of my friends called me from England. It made me miss England. Can I be homesick for a place that's not really my home? I suppose I've done a lot of my "life" in America. I moved here when I was 11. It's funny really. I'd like to go back for a while but I just don't have the money. I have school and a car to pay for. Bah. At least some friends are coming over in August.

As for Faranheit 9/11, everyone shut up about it. Michael Moore is a douchebag. Yes, Bush was expecting to have an easy Presidency where he could play golf most of the time and let everyone else do the work. No, he didn't know what to do when 9/11 came. Who would know what to do? What would you do? If you say what Bush wanted to do with his Presidency is bad then you're a hypocrite. It's the American dream. Power, money, and no real responsibility. How can you say it's not desirable? We all want it.
