Played some games recently. Crimson Skies 2: Road to Revenge. It's a nice game with an old school feel to it. It's got a nice physics engine and customizable planes. You could make the terror of the skies or the suckiest of the suck. I've seen some of the single player action and am for the most part impressed although I have yet to test the storyline myself. From what I have been told and partly seen you shoot down huge zepplins, have sex with slutty pirate chicks. Play air pirate, steal, destroy, and fly in beautiful aero-acrobatic stunts which are death defying even from the simplistic controls. Simply put if you arent maneuvering your way out of one fire fight (assuming you are playing with more than 2 people) you could quite possibly find yourself dancing like a plastic bag caught in an updraft only to wind up engaging in another adrenaline pumping dogfight. There is only one downside to dogfighting. The air-breaks I found it easier to find an enemy then stop your plane in middair and unleash an unholy torrent of weapon/secondary weapon action until there is nothing left but wreckage and firmament.

Up next is quite possibly the most realistic WW!2 game on the market, and is also an incredibly exciting mutliplayer/lan game. I will now focuse mainly on the overal gameplay rather than spend hours spinning tales of my first hand experiences and multiple kills. Unlike Battlefielf 1942 you are placed alongside the team instead of in front. And your team mates can and will die en mass. You have to kill nazis and complete missions be they protecting some french bridge from an onslaught of the nazis, or sitting shotgun in a french car hanging out the window with your thompson looking for trouble.

While mortars are rainging down form the heavens and tiger tanks rolling out of the foliage and map boundries, there is a bit of the old American military humor seen on your favortie World War 2 movies. Bringing to light not only the hardhsips but the colors as well. Multiplayer has a few interesting ideas for games. There is a counterstrike knockoff which is .. just like counterstrike but with more or less a WW2 feel ( I don't know if there is/was a WW2 mod for CTS). There is Behind Enemy Lines in which a certain small number of the players are americans(Allieds) and they must stay alive whilst being hunted by every other player. To make it much easier for both sides to find the action, the opposing team (Axis) have a sort of a locator indicated as a question mark on the minimap portion of the heads up display. Of course there is always Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch both of which are equally good in their own classic respects.
