Trying to whist together some topical information is hard these days, as work and the holiday spirit has seemingly consumed us all. To the northerners the holiday means fun and friends; A summer like winter if you will. Since the tourists migrate at those major seasons we [southerners] have no concept of true Christmas. I believe that is impossible, unless we live where Christmas truly exists and that winter is separate from the other seasons.

We seem to forget that no matter how boring Florida gets, it's a paradise and that the other states in the union don't matter. Not New York, not even California. This is the party state; we are stuck in our own modes, separate from the other places of the country. The point is that everyone here is so wrapped up in going somewhere else and leaving their parents in Naples to be somewhere else in the country or world, please leave. Get away from your parents, find an excuse and go. Don't hesitate or you'll return and linger on. Then you will try to repair friendships and end up in a teary goodbye which you won't know will be your last. Come back the following year with your significant others or you fiancés, and experience true change and the actual meaning of. You will also become more mature and handle the imminent danger the world is once you leave. It's essentially a wake up call to decide to see who/what truly matters in life.
